Mackinlay's Rare Old Highland Malt Available Online Finish: Dusty woodIn 2006, three cases of Mackinlay's whisky were found buried under the ice of Antarctica by the New Zealand Antarctic Heritage Trust having been there since Sir Ernest Shackleton's South Pole expedition between 1907 and 1909. Although Mackinlay's had ceased to exist, whisky maker Whyte and Mackay still owned the brand, so along with their master blended, Richard Paterson, they set about recreating it. After careful analysis of the discovered whisky,
